Cheever succeeds Eileen Melvin, who has served as President and CEO and led the company through a period of growth, innovation, and global expansion.
Cheever joined UMF Medical in 2021 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, bringing more than 15 years of experience as an award-winning healthcare sales executive. Promoted to Vice President of Global Sales in 2022, he has played a key role in expanding UMF Medical’s presence across integrated delivery networks and government markets while strengthening strategic partnerships and field sales performance.

Prior to UMF Medical, Cheever served as Area Vice President for Hillrom, where he was recruited to build and lead a new regional team within the company’s largest global business unit. His background also includes progressive sales and leadership roles at Welch Allyn, Ortho Biotech Products (a division of Johnson & Johnson), and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (now part of Pfizer). He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Providence College.
