UMF Medical – The History

UMF Medical manufactures the most innovative exam tables and procedure chairs in the industry.

The ProGlide series with the patented OneTouch WheelBase® System, enables staff to effortlessly move the table to clean the entire exam room and then lock solidly in place for exams - while maintaining ADA height. In addition, the OneTouch Patient Positioning® System enables efficient patient positioning in clinician-preferred, programmable exam positions and return-to-home with a touch of a button. To help healthcare providers meet the needs of the changing patient population, all UMF Medical power tables offer 650-lb. patient weight capacity and ADA wheelchair access.

Because healthcare providers are being asked to do more with less, UMF Medical’s complete exam room solutions are designed to help providers meet changing requirements. And, with accessible casework, mobile cabinets, physician stools and chairs, UMF Medical offers solutions to meet the needs of a changing patient population and backs these quality products with the longest warranties in the industry.

The story of UMF Medical is one of family ownership and manufacturing excellence in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the heart of America’s steel heritage.

With the accessibility of a power exam chair and the affordability of a fixed-height exam table, this new hi-lo exam chair offers the features healthcare providers need most.

Along with the FusionONE launch, UMF Medical exam chairs feature Durable upholstery with PreFixx® Protective Finish, which is seamlessly constructed and entirely removable for enhanced infection prevention.
