UMF Medical is a rapidly growing manufacturer of medical equipment seeking a Sales Development Specialist for the Western Region. This role is for a driven, resilient sales professional who sees this position as an opportunity to earn their way into a medical sales career—not coast into it.

The real contract
This is a hunter–builder role, not a passive account-management position.
You will hear “no” often—success depends on learning, adapting, and re-engaging.
Airline and hotel travel are mandatory.
You will be expected to connect dots and create clarity where none exists.
Effort, preparation, curiosity, and follow-through determine success.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive revenue growth across the Western U.S.
- Build and maintain relationships with outsourced reps, distributors, and end users.
- Proactively open doors and build a pipeline.
- Engage decision-makers and uncover pain, budget, and process.
- Execute account strategies that increase awareness of UMF Medical’s value.
- Research market and competitive trends.
- Maintain forecasts and pipeline reporting.
- Participate in trainings, meetings, trade shows, and special projects.
- Travel frequently to customer sites.

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to navigate complex sales conversations
- Organized and disciplined
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience
- Medical sales experience not required—drive and grit are
